 Mission
 Vision

The portal's mission is to promote the innovative development of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in the interest of commonwealth , public, and scientific community.

Innovations with the speed of light.

Behind the portal's driving force is the vision based on three fundamentals:

  • Portal sets the new standards for interaction between scientists and businesses by providing the integrated Web and business solutions utilizing the best practices in development of business portals.
  • Portal disseminates timely up-to-date information on the novel developments and research in the fields of nanotechnology and nanomaterials relevant to National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
  • Portal facilitates the transformation of the knowledge-intensive developments of researches from NASU into innovations;.

Luminescent nanomaterials of technical and biomedical purpose

Broad class of materials as nanodisperse materials are actively explored in recent years due to its unique properties. Fluorescent nanocrystals and nanostructured composites are one of the most interesting materials from theoretical and practical point of view. The transition from volumetric to nanodisperse luminescent and scintillation materials opens new possibilities for their application (such as fluorescent probes in living cells) and allows them to vary by their optical properties in a wide range. Scientists of laboratory of physics of luminescent and scintillation materials of Institute of Scintillation Materials NAS of Ukraine (ISMA) actively study possibilities of creation and development of these materials.
