The prospects of application of water vapor plasma for obtaining of hydrogen in gasification processes of carbon containing raw are discussed in the report. Advantages of application of electric arc plasma generators of to these purposes are shown. The vapor-vortex plasma torch is chosen as the most perspective for noted purposes on the basis of the analysis of known designs of electric arc plasma generators. Two variants of these torch designs are offered concerning to the problem of coal gasification. The volt-ampere characteristics of the both of plasma torch are presented.
Modern progressive technical decisions of the processes of hydrogen production by gasification of coal with using of the membrane technologies of division of the gases enriched by hydrogen are considered. The information on characteristic types of the membranes used for division of hydrogen from mixes of gases is presented. Advantages and lacks of different type of membranes for hydrogen division are analyzed. The description of the modern commercial projects of technologies development is presented. The economy of manufacture of hydrogen from natural gas and on the basis of electrolyte processing of water is considered for comparison also.
The purpose of the study is for the first time in Ukraine to make demonstration experiment on gasification of carbon containing raw and obtaining of hydrogen on the basis of plasma water steam technology. The laboratory installation on the basis of plasma torch working on the water steam for this purpose is described in the report. Preliminary results of gasification of anthracite which show basic advantages of use of plasma technologies to gasification processes of carbon containing raw and hydrogen obtaining are presented.
Laboratory-scale plant is described. Experimental researches of plasma-steam processes of gasification of carbon containing materials in variants of conversion of liquid (bioethanol) and solid fuels (coal, peat, wood, a mixture of polyethyleneterephthalate and peat) are lead. Modeling of various processes of gasification of cellulose is lead also. Virtues of plasma-steam gasification are shown.
The laboratory installation for plasma conversion of a solution of bioethanol into dry synthesis-gas is created and tested. The technique of еру definition of this process efficiency is developed and approved. The productivity of installation depending on parameters of plasma torch operation as well as economical parameters of the conversion process are determined.
