Main results 
Developed selection criteria and the classification of waste water and saline water in order to achieve an effective combination of processes of electrochemical treatment and concomitant production of hydrogen. Designed and constructed a model unit for treatment of water with concomitant produce hydrogen. When the current load of 10 A and voltage of 18-20 V, it allows you to soften and clear of solids up to 60 liters of saline water for 1 hour and still get 4 liters of pure hydrogen. The investigation of the dependence of hydrogen overvoltage on the presence of water-cation and anion-active surfactant and found that although these compounds significantly affect the quantitative and qualitative characteristics of the process, changing it is not high (10-30%) and therefore does not lead to significant intensification of hydrogen evolution. It was established that the modification of the copper ions mezoporuvatogo titanium dioxide synthesized by the sol-gel method to significantly increase its activity in the reaction of the photolysis of water. Modification of titanium dioxide transition metal ions allows us to obtain active catalysts for the reaction of photolysis of aqueous alcohol systems. The activity of these catalysts depends on the silver content and value of specific surface.
